I am a woman in my eighties who has been an artist all her life. Highlights of the early years in my art journey are pictured below with a brief timeline. Although my art “career” ended abruptly in the 80s, I continued to make art privately and use my creativity in other areas while circumstances required that I focus on a “real job”. The lesson for me was that this thing we call “art” does not fade and it demands expression.
After my early art adventure, mainly in the medium of clay, I transitioned to employment in fields where I learned about typography, computers, software that could be used for art-making and digital design. When I retired from these jobs, I began making digital art just for the pleasure of doing it. Now I have the time and energy to show the best of my digital work publicly, specifically to you. If you would like more information about the kind of art I am sharing with you— abstract, symbolic, contemplative— there are short readings in the Articles menu that provide a definition of these terms and give examples of major artists who represent these styles.
The main purpose of this website is to get feedback on my artwork. Please send me your impressions, thoughts, or critique, either by commenting on a specific artwork from its “Details” page or by sending me an email. Be assured that your email address will not be shared or sold.
I am hoping that another outcome of this website will be to find a cadre of people, fellow artists, who want to share their thoughts about this kind of art and the importance of creativity. If enough people comment on this site, I will implement a Community Discussion Board about Art and Creativity and you will be notified.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work.
Use the form below to send me an email about your artwork or anything art-related. Commenting on an individual artwork is done on the page where that artwork is displayed.
